Our History
Pa William Mensem Memorial School is proudly managed by the Pa William Mensem Educational and Scholarship Foundation (PAWMESFO), a charity established to advance quality education within the community. The foundation was created in 2009 by Hon. Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, in honour of her late father, Pa William Mensem, whose lifelong passion for education inspired its vision and mission.
Guided by Pa William Mensem’s legacy, the Foundation began by establishing a primary school in Ngoot-Tuguut, Dorok District of Shendam Local Government Area, Plateau State. From inception, the school was built on uncompromised standards both in structural development and academic excellence.
As the school grew, PAWMESFO became concerned that pupils graduating from the primary section might be forced to continue their education in substandard schools due to limited options in the area. To preserve the quality foundation already provided, the Foundation expanded its vision and opened the secondary school section,ensuring that students could continue to receive high-quality education within their community.

Today, through the unwavering commitment of PAWMESFO, the Ngoot-Tuguut community is home to a modern educational institution equipped with well-furnished classrooms, a computer laboratory, a library, and other essential facilities. At PAWMESFO, we firmly believe that no investment yields greater returns than education, and this belief continues to drive our work.
The school now attracts learners not only from Ngoot-Tuguut but also from neighbouring communities across Taraba and Nasarawa States, providing accessible education to vulnerable and underserved children.
To date, the Foundation has graduated 143 students from the secondary section, all achieving commendable performance in their WAEC and NECO examinations.
